Role: UX Designer
Project: OBJECT EDITOR PILOT (6 MONTHS)
Situation:  I worked as UX Designer with a UX Researcher, along with EA’s internal team including 1 Associate Experience Director, 1 PM, and 1 Engineer. I participated in a 6 month research project, which included 3 workshops.
Task: I participated in user-centered design process and created wireframes, prototypes, and design solutions to improve EA’s internal game engine tool used by their employees as it relates to finding experiences with a focus on discovery, search,  filtering, sorting and browsing.

Action: Research Phase: I worked with a UX Researcher to focus on key user problems and improving the experience as it relates to search, filters, browsers, sorting, etc.Interview Sessions: I participated in remote zoom interviews.  The participants were internal employees and users of the tool.Discovery 1:1 interviews , Brainstorm Sessions. Present proposed designs to get validation. Participants: We interviewed 6 game designers4 with 3+ tenure at EA, and 2 with a <1 year tenure at EA
Result: Designers reacted positively to the finding affordances detailed in the designs.
We interviewed a subset of EA employees and identified changes that could result in a 5% improvement in efficiency and time savings. If scaled across the entire organization, this could translate to a total time savings of up to 10,000 hours, equating to approximately $500,000 in salary cost savings.
